The Mini Luggage of a Fashionista Slash Traveler

If shopping is every girl’s best friend, then travelling might be her fiancé or sister even. Behind the beautifully polished nails and the dazzling dresses, a girl wears is her need to just wander to a different place once in a while to soak away all her fears, stresses and hesitations.

However, what she needs to do, she surely wants to do with style, and in travelling, and one important consideration she must take is how to make comfort her top priority without overlooking fashion and her own sense of style.

A Minimalist’s Baggage Considering comfort while travelling means that you have to sort out the things you need and those you do not need. Yes, I understand how hard it is to leave all your high-heeled shoes and glamorous dresses behind, but trust me, unless you’re attending Fashion Week or the likes, you won’t need your whole cabinet while you’re traveling.

Now, there are many things you need to consider while packing fashionably and they are as follows: Hues that Define You: As the cliché goes, ‘fashion is all about expressing yourself’ and this is also applicable whenever you’re packing for a much-anticipated vacation. Now, I assume that you already know where you’re heading, so the best thing for you to do is decide which base colors you would use.

This way, you wouldn’t have a hard time deciding which clothes to bring because all you have to do is mix and match. Mix and Match: A minimalist would always have a ratio on the bottom and tanks she’d pack. A bottom can be equivalent to 2 or 3 tank tops, and all you have to do is just match.

Now, instead of bringing a pair of jeans, which are very heavy by the way, it is better that you pick out your best jeggings and leggings. The fabric is definitely lighter and you still get to have that perfect fit! Shoes: If you can’t bear being away from your stilettos, then bring one that you can use with the pair of clothes you picked. Also, another basic essential you must pack is a pair of flats.

Ballet shoes are best, especially when you are shopping, but if your itinerary includes going out on a beach, then you have to bring your ever friendly flip-flops. Two-in-One Bathing Suit: If you’re packing for the beach, it is best that you look for reversible bathing suits so that you can run your mini beach fashion show, minus the expenses. The number one tip I can give you is to pick neutral colors for they never run out of style.

Make-Up: When traveling, a long-wearing and waterproof eyeliner and lipstick is all you need. Oh, and don’t forget your lip balm. Through this, you won’t look as if you’re suffering from jet lag. Also, if you’re too lazy to wear make-up, then a pair of eyeglasses is all you need to conceal all those eye bags away.

Sunscreen: Who travels without sunscreen, anyway? The best way to love yourself is to protect yourself from all the harsh elements from the environment, and we all know that exposure to the sun is the leading cause of wrinkles, discoloration and other blemishes.

So, never forget to pack that miraculous bottle of SPF.About the Author: Janelle Giselle Domingo is a travel ambassador and blogger from Joni’s Rave Rentals.
